Past student analyse: The Betrayal & Finders Keepers

Analyse on past student's thriller

The Betrayal

Positives
- Good use of diegetic sound ( mumbling, screaming)
-          The way in which the volume of the music changes at appropriate times was very effective and realistic
-          The change of the film from colour  to black and white was effective as it differentiated/highlight the different times
-          Non- Linear narrative used( flashing back and fought  in time)

Negatives
-          The font of the titling was too big
-      Hard to see what was going on in the film

Finder Keepers

Positives
-          Good use of red-herring
-          Mcgufflin (What was in the box at the end)
-          Fast pacing, thrilling and exciting
-          General elements for a thriller was used
-          Different type of thriller compared to the rest
-          Displayed more variety of skills and professionalism

Negatives
-          The titling ‘Finder Keepers’ was boring
-          The titling displayed on the film didn't look like one you’d see in a proper film- unprofessional
